Active Combat Feats?

Context: In the original NWN, feats like Knockdown, Improved Knockdown, Disarm, etc - often had kludges in online contexts in order to change their functionality, sometimes being disabled. Furthermore, in custom content, new feats of the same type - of the "active combat feat" category - couldn't be added; which led to more kludging among content creators (which, while not the objective of the EE, led to incredibly awkward compromises in the PRC and similar packs that have had a lot of big-name influence in NWN over the years).
In asking around, I've not been told whether or not it's possible yet to set feats in the new game to behave as Active Combat feats nor modify the existing ones; but that "it would probably be a merited suggestion".
In engine terms, would what that entails be something the Beandog team considers worth doing? If so, has it actually already been done without me knowing? >->
