Unique Script Generated Item Drops?

I'm lazy and not keen on making 1,000 unique items by hand. I would much rather add a resref of a premade item and add some random stats on it with a random name. (I think we can also randomize the visualization on the item also.

What I would like to know is, if anyone happens to know of a formula that determines what the max gold value is of an item that would drop based on the CR of the creature. I want to avoid Cows dropping "+10 Slings of DOOM" (for now).

Or if anyone knows if this is already on the nwnvault, let me know. (also have no plans on NWNX)
