Cleric/ranger and mage/thief

What do you think of this duo?

What about this setup?
Cleric/ranger - me , Aerie (romance), Jan (or Imoen), Haer-Dalis, Anomen and Jaheira?

    all casters, all able to fight in mlee (with jan), very strong and versatile party.
    i would probably start with jan, that is a really good thief at the beginning with his special equipment, and then take imoen at a certain point that you surely know as the other mages being multi will reach high level spells only near the end of the game and probably never cast more than 1 lev 9 spell / day (ok, jan 2 as he is specialist...).

    this is the kind of party that i like, very versatile, capable to kick ..... in mlee or drop a ton of spells on the bad guys. if you want to get the best is not the party that allows you to click and forget, buffing and some micromanagement is needed. but the best you can get is really impressive.

    i bet that you will have a lot of fun playing it.
