Will the un-hardcoding allow customization of Character Creation?

So it sounds like stuff to get custom classes and races working properly during character creation is underway, which is awesome! What about other stuff? Say for instance a module wanted to have a different amount of ability points given, would we be able to change that? How about inserting a completely new step to character creation? One example is if they wanted to implement background selection, something like NWN2 and Pillars of Eternity have. Another might be if they have Psionics enabled, and might want to allow for a step to select or randomly assign a Wild Talent. How about hiding/making unavailable certain classes or races?

I'm finally starting to read some modding tutorials, look into what assets are around, and reacquaint myself with the Dark Sun setting. Maybe nothing will come of it, and I'll never get anything made. I'm starting realize if I ever want to do what I want, I may have to bite the bullet and start tinkering a bit with 3d modeling, so I'm probably getting in way over my head. Still, it could be a good learning experience.

I have an idea that the character import function includes some sort of validation, so if you changed (say) the number of ability points you would not then be able to import the character into a module (possibly including the current one).
