Steam and persistent worlds

I’ve got my Steamer key and have relinked with my old account on there all good. (Last visit 941 days ago lol)
I’m not Steam savvy at all. Read about the wshop mods only available to Steam users and stuff. Will this by any chance be the case for PW’s as well? Like there will be Steam only PW’s for Steam users similar to now with 1.69 and EE users being seperate. Sorry if this is already answered and I missed it.

    Steam is just an extra set of tools. Your multiplayer button connects to the same master server as the Beamdog or eventual GOG users.

    Where Steam will be really useful for PWs is 1 click content management. The barrier to try PWs with custom content will be much lower.
