Help! I've lost a main quest item... Not sure what to do!

Hi there, I've somehow lost the item 'History of the Nether Scrolls' from my party inventory! I took a detour at the start of Ch. 6 and did the ToSC quests, and perhaps threw it on the ground at some point not realizing its importance! In any event I can't get into Candlekeep to continue the main storyline now... And I don't want to backload many hours of playing! Any ideas on how I can remedy this? I've tried searching around for the book but the game-world is just too immense! Perhaps there's a simple cheat to spawn the item or something? Thanks for any help everyone!
