Improved Familiar System and List?

I was wondering if something could be done about the in-game familiars. While perhaps a full enhancement is not possible we'd at least improve the list?

    I'd just be happy if we could get them to move at the same speed my character is. I go into search mode but my darn pet still is running so does this what looks like an epileptic fit animation move while following me :*

    Is that a speed problem or an AI problem?

    I would say an AI propblem, you can't actually change their movement speed currently.
