Question - Will offline LAN servers work with NWN EE?

I searched but couldn't find this, so I apologize if it is mentioned somewhere.

Does anybody know if nwn EE servers hosted on a local network without an active internet connection will work?

I know it is not the typical situation most find themselves in these days, but I actually play games at home like this. In the Infinity Engine games revamped from Beamdog, it is not possible because of the way the server matchmaking is handled. I am REALLY hoping it is possible in NWN EE since the game had much better multiplayer server support.

    I doubt they will be removing any existing functionality to the game as it's their intent to add features, not remove. It's working now and as far as I am aware it's here to stay.

    LAN is currently working for me, and as Jimbobslimbob mentioned, Beamdog is trying very hard not to disable any of the original functionality, intentionally or otherwise. You should (ideally) be able to do everything you were able to do before!
