Start of SoD no more gem bag/scroll case?

in Baldur's Gate: Siege of Dragonspear
Is it normal for you to have lost the gem bag & scroll case at the beginning of the SoD single player campaign? (Having carried your party through from BG1:EE). They're missing from my inventories! Cheers.

    Woops! Just found the gem bag in the first room over... I suspect further bags/cases will follow...
