Seriously. This SCREAMS for official resolution. Its also really bad form to start a plot point like that and just drop it.

    I second that, even as a DLC for BGII-EE that would be cool.

    There are already two mods out that close the issue. I doubt that beamdog would do a better job. And mods are for free.

    They said again in the last stream that they have no plan for a BG2EE DLC. So I would not wait for that if I were you.
