Whats your cheesiest moment in BG trilogy and was I too cheese on twisted rune/crooked crane.

I thought I would ask what was some of the cheesiest moments ever and have two recent scenarios to give as my first SCS run on insane, after being slaughtered many times and wondering if its essentially cheating or all fair considering its within gameplay.
The first I cheesed Shangalar/twisted rune by walking slightly in and backing up once I saw the flames appear to the table...only he appeared/defenses went up but didnt initiate dialogue or teleport from the table so cast firestorm and then walked in after he was done to take out the other goons. Only downside was I couldnt grab his loot form the table but I only cared about the staff o the magi
The other was Crooked Crane Lich who I had a second when walking into the room before his SCS defenses went up before/after his dialogue & hit him with a volley (slings, axes) and dorn running up to him hasted as below
