Huge framerate loss

Anyone else experiencing huge frame rate drops? Going from 40-50 FPS in BG EE to 10 fps in NWN EE makes me feel like this game hasn’t been fully ready for optimisation. This isn’t even on the highest settings

    I'm not having any huge frame rate drops on my laptop. What video card do you have? Are the drivers up to date?

    My frame rate is smooth and likely pretty high (not sure of the actual FPS, but it isn't low).

    Game has been smooth but the toolset becomes really slow and jerky.

    I was building a 16x16 area using the castle exterior / rural tileset and had only a handful of placeables and one transition and moving the camera gives me like 3fps. And my system isn't from 2002. (core i5 2.67GHz, 12Gb, radeon 7870 with 2Gb)
