Haer'Dalis - what does the Global affect?

So I am having this bug: https://forums.beamdog.com/discussion/25819/7163-core-astral-prison-bug-cant-leave

Which accoring to @Illydth is "one of the highest priority bugs on the Dev's plates right now." So that's good!

Except his post is from 2013 :D

Has anything been done to fix this bug? I see you can fix it by using the console to set Haer'Dalis' join-value back to 0, but won't that potentially mess with banters and romance and such?

    As far as I can tell from looking in Near Infinity, the CDHaerdalisJoined global is only used in a few dialogs with Raelis. Looks like nothing bad will come from resetting the global, as it definitely isn't tied to any romances or banters.
