Black Pits: Red Shirt Wizards (no xp or gold?)

So after the Red Shirt Wizard battle I received nothing. No Xp and no gold... Is that what is supposed to happen? I know I have to fight some trolls next and I need to buy fire items to do so. Unfortunately I have no gold to do so.

Edit: Nevermind.. It's totally bugged out. If I go to Baeloth and try to start the next battle the ui disappears and everyone just stands there. He never warps us into the arena. I'll have to go back to the beginning of the Tier 2 fights since that's my last viable save and see if it happens again. This is on the Android 2.5 beta patch for anyone wondering.

Edit again: Yep.. was completely the beta. Uninstalled and everything works fine again.
