Ah shame they would make a perfect couple if Korgan could change alignment to chaotic neutral.
But then he couldn't be a murdering, raping, psychopath anymore (the BG2 writers really did write him as the most truly evil character). And that would take all the fun out of his day.
IMO Korgan isn't pure evil for sake of evil. He only does that to the combat enemies. I didn't notice his inclination to harm the innocents or civilians. IMO Edwin or Viconia is more evil. There is mod that changes Korgan alignment to non-evil if there is Mazzy in party but alas no romance. You guys could write a romance as crossmod between that mod just slight suggestion not exception. Can't be pushing ideas for mod content if authors don't like it.
At this point, we aren't writing any more content for this mod, so even if we thought it fit, it likely wouldn't happen. Someone else would have to code crossmod content with us instead.
But in this case, I'd say our version of Korgan and Mazzy would never make sense as a romance. The best he'll get from us is that weird friendship with benefits thing with Hexxat.
Honestly, I don't think I could write another NPC romance that I enjoy more than Haerdalis and Dorn (they're just so dramatic and it amuses me). I was also quite proud of that wraith scene and put way too much effort into trying to code the Aerie fight no one will probably ever see 😅

You could make a Korgan-Mazzy romance! That's how we started. We had no idea how to code; just a few ideas. The learning curve is a bit steep but people in the main forums are happy to answer questions. I am too.
As for me I find Edwin likes power but mostly follows the law which keeps him from doing too much damage. Viconia doesn't do much evil stuff at all; most of it is self defense because everyone's always trying to kill her (and they're doing that not because she's doing evil things but just because she's a drow).
But Korgan just does whatever makes him happy; regardless of consequences or damage. He's got quotes like:
"Har! Har! Har! Truly, it reminds me o' the time I caught me cousin Kraggor unawares in the chamber with me woman. He were red as a beet and flustered as a bloody hen! I swore at him, and he ran off with his trousers 'tween his legs, shuffling madly. Har! Har! I had to rip out his innards for it later, o' course, but 'twas funny nevertheless."
"I, for one, have never had much of a liking fer tree-huggers an' their kin. One less precious grove will make no difference in my book. Let's poison the prancin' bastards."
"Ye know, though ye all be gutless, clumsy, and nae too bright, this party is a sight better than me former crew of delvers and ne'er-do-wells. A proud crew we were. We ne'er blinked when adventure called. Purses overflowed, bellies was full, but the wheels left the wagon, the house of cards collapsed.
=
We were spelunking some old duergar shafts down south, a badly built construct of ill attention and nae craft, I may add, when we happened upon a hive of ooze. Dispatched with ease, but mild strife later, Stitch's armor began to dissolve. Smoked like a chimney, and he squealed like a yardpig! 'E wouldn't stop wailing. And I had to stop him flailing about while he struggled with his melting armor, so I hit him. And killed him. Accident, really, but he rankled me nerves.
=
Then Hogbelly had his legs crushed when a hill giant fell on 'im, so he had to go.
=
And Cutter went and got infected with plague, so I up and broke his neck, to save him the agony. See, the plague had weakened him severely, and he wasn't worth the trouble anymore."
"I had t' act on a couple occasions... out o' necessity, like when we happened upon a hive of giants. Twenty or so infested the hills up at Saradush. Families o' them ravaged farms with no mercy. We heard it from a pointy-ear in the Forest of Mir, so fate called.
=
A great melee ensued. Ol' Widowmaker sent six over to the Hells that day, but Hogbelly, bless his deformed visage, got under a toppling mountain o' man. Was not unlike kindling cracklin', and he whined fer his legs all night... "Me legs are gone! Ah, me precious legs!" I chopped some peg-legs, but he'd not have it.
=
So I held 'im whilst two swings from Widowmaker put him cold. Our bag of tricks, Scrooloose, closed the wounds. But then he wouldn't stop groaning. I got tired of it, an' that night put me knife in his belly. He stopped moaning after that.
=
But my work weren't done yet. I had to make it look like trolls or gnolls grabbed him unawares, to throw suspicion off o' me. Strange thing, the whole time I swear his eyes followed me, though he was long dead by then. Hmph.
=
If I be in position to do nothing, then I deserves what comes. Truly, I'd be happy if I be put out o' whining misery. Don't worry, I'd do the same fer you..."
"Ye might be surprised, ranger. I understand ye killed yer family—we have that much in common. Aye, that we do.
=
'Twas inevitable. When me father died, there was barely enough inheritance to go around fer me and my three brothers. I had to protect my future, ye understand."
"Aye, and so it should be. But more specifically, have ye given thought to what you will demand of yer followers? Living sacrifices are always good... blood and sufferin' and screamin' all around!
=
And slaves... have ye given much thought to slaves, <CHARNAME>? They'll do yer biddin both in the bedroom and out. "
But seriously, you should make a Korgan-Mazzy romance mod! That's the whole point of modding. You can do whatever you want. And it's cool the first time you make something and see them say it in game. It's the power of creation in your hands.
I only know how to write dialogues in NearInfnity. If I am not mistaken BKORGAN.DLG / BKORGAN25.DLG & BMAZZY.DLG / BMAZZY25.DLG are my go to edit files. I don't know to weidfy the files. I will see maybe I will write something up.

If you've looked through NearInfinity that's a good start. For the mod you stick the dialogues in a .d file (which becomes a .dlg file in game). You install them with a .tp2 file. And you make things happen with a .baf file (which becomes a .bcs file in game). And you use Weidu to install. The easiest way to get started is to find some really little mod, copy it, and then just rename and use their files. That's how we started.
The good news is that basic dialogues aren't too hard once you figure it out. A mod where one or two people talk on a recurring timer is probably the easiest kind of mod to code. There's some guides online, and most of it is written very similar to how the in-game scripts are written. You could use one of those little friendship mods and just change who talks. If you poked around online for some guides, looked at an existing little mod, and asked some questions, you could probably have it basically figured out within a month. And then you'd know how and what was once impossible would be totally doable.

Oh and you need notepad++ to read the files. You can find some Weidu highlighters for Notepad++ online which make reading them and coding them way easier (because everything is color coded when coded correctly).
I also intend to write some dialogue crossmod banter between Hexxat and Valen npc mod. Any suggestions for banter dynamics? Hexxat chastises Valen for being Bodhi's slave? I never used long-term Hexxat I don't know her character well. I only know what she does to Clara. Didn't progress beyond that point with Hexxat.

I never played the Valen NPC so I couldn't say. I'd say that to get a sense of any character (like Hexxat) you should go find their quest dialogue, banter dialogue, and/or romance dialogues online. There are playthrough's on youtube. Or just play through with the character yourself and do it in game.
For the coding you have to put some extra code in the TP2 file if you code for another mod, as you have to recognize if that other mod exists (and it'll only work if the other mod was installed before yours). We have some examples in our mod; I can find them if you get to that point.
Just got my Anomen fail his test.
I play as male character do I need Clara for Anomen to go full darkside?
Yes. The Darkside Anomen part is an addition to the Anomen Romance in BG2, mostly at the end. If you can't Romance Anomen (or just don't want to) then you can pick up Clara and she'll romance Anomen for you. It's basically the same romance with Clara taking the place of the NPC (and always choosing the most evil path).
As it's written Anomen has two paths: He passes his test and is virtuous, or he fails his test and is angry for a while but then is gradually redeemed. What our mod does is at the end of his romance you can help Anomen kill his father without that causing the romance to end, and then you can continue down that much more evil path.
I've returned to report that finally I've got my first bonus from Clara's banters. Yoshimo gave her +1 to katanas. Needed really many days in the game to pass for it.
I've tried to find the spolier here in the thread with the list of Clara's banter bonuses. Spent 20 min and was not able to find. I remember it is somewhere in this thread under the spoiler but the thread is so big! Can you navigate me to that post please, or just copy that information again?

Banters in the game take forever to trigger. I highly recommend getting a banter accelerator.
I don't know if we ever did write out a list of every banter bonus. If there was a post somewhere about it, I don't have it bookmarked or anything. I wouldn't have any better luck finding it than you .
Yeah, I don't think we ever wrote a complete list here. Unless it was replying to someone's question. Every banter after the first with each other NPC gives Clara something, but I don't remember summarizing.
If you're curious, I think it's easy enough to read the bonuses in the banter dialogue file.

Sort of. Some of them, like the Katana bonus, are custom spells that we made. So you'd have to go into the spell file to see what they do, which is starting to require quite a bit of modding knowledge.
That's not to say I'm going to make the list though. If people want to see what they are, they'll just need to play and see (ideally with a banter accelerater if they don't want it to take years).
I suppose that's true. I tried to give most of the spell files names that at least hint at what they do, but it helps if you're in my brain for that 😅
If people really want to know a specific one, I suppose they can just ask though. The bonuses are generally either stats, thief skills, weapon proficiencies or spell abilities.
@Aldarisvet
The file Ratatoskr and I are talking about with all of Clara's banter dialogue is AllThingsMazzy/Clara/dialogues/b_bclara
Usually the bonuses are listed, though in some cases it made better coding sense to have the bonus listed somewhere else and trigger it off of the set global.
You can open it with Notepad++ and if you get the Weidu highlighters it's easier to read.
News: I talked with the SCS people (DavidW and jmerry from Gibberlings3) and they confirmed that yes, it's the "Fiends and Celestials" component in SCS that's breaking our mod, and also that if you install our mod after SCS then it shouldn't break anything in either mod.
They're also going to edit their mod in a later update to see if they can make it so it won't break regardless of install order.
That was as good as I possibly could've expected. They're very nice people.
Guys, I might just be dumb. But where is the other optional stuff like the Jaheira-Wilson romance in this mod?
You're not dumb, we did it weirdly. The way it works is that almost everything is included when you install the mod, and then you can turn it off using ingame conversations. So if you have both Wilson and Jaheira and the conditions are right for them to start talking they will, and then some time in the first few dialogues (usually the first or second one I think) there is an option to tell them both to be quiet, which turns off that conversation.
We did it this way because of the way coding works for BG2. If we had something be optional to install then we would have to test everything with every possible combination of mod-parts installed because much of our stuff is sprawling. We also would've needed a full set of files for each and conditional triggers that checked if each mod part was installed whenever we referenced something added in that part. It was just too much. We did do it for ForTheEvil and if I had to do it over again I probably wouldn't, because it made quite a few things harder (like for Bodhi as a joinable NPC).

Oh really? Thanks for letting me know. By the way, if I were to start romancing Jaheira or Neera and had Wilson or Minsc in the party, telling them to be quiet will stop their romances with each other? Because I have a minor concern that while I'm romancing either of them, those other instances may take place if I were to experience some sort of bug.

I'm pretty sure we coded everything so that the NPC-NPC romances won't start if the Player-NPC romance is still active. So you'll have to end it with Jaheira or Neera before the people will start talking.
The way the coding for all romances work in game (if I remember correctly), is that every single one starts active and then the game causes the romances to fail based on you either having an incompatible race, or you saying dialogue to them that ends it.
To be honest, it's been so long since I turned on the cheat console for my game that I'd probably have to look up how to do it for the current version of the game. But once it's active, changing triggers is actually quite easy.
Does doing the Mae’var quest where Mazzy leaves while youre helping Edwin kill Rayic Gethras ruin the Mazzy romance? She leaves the party briefly and stays with Edwin. Is the romance ended when youve done the quest and she rejoins or can it still be done? I dont want to continue the quest if it will ruin the romance option.

Will do, but for future reference can you give me an example of how to do that? I'm not very experienced with these things.
We can cross that bridge if needed
Nope. It's fine.
