Broken install... again...

First of all... Holy crap... I'm currently deployed and was thoroughly looking forward to this game. The Internet connection here in Afghanistan is shoddy at best, currently running between 20-45kbs. Downloaded both installers on the 25th... Over the period of two days, I've experience more crashes, freezes, etc. Both installers would get around 20-30mb before they would freeze... then crash. NOW, after updating Beamdog, I'm stuck in the eternal "getting download info..." on BOTH. Now it looks like I'm screwed out of downloading the game. I have the torrent set up but considering only 1 person seems to be seeding. Reaally frustrated and venting right now. Tried the fixes from the forums, but nothing seems to work.

    I've been struggling for a couple days here in Bagram. Strangely, things seem to be working now that I DISABLED the P2P setting in the installer. I'm not sure if my luck will continue - fingers crossed...

    Yeah... Pretty much had to ditch the installer and beam dog client all together... Kept my torrent running while at work and got to about 1.2 gb. Hopefully it'll finish while I sleep today... Just worried that my beam dog client won't recognize it after it finishes.

    I had the part 1 torrent, but I'm downloading the whole thing through the installer now. It's finally working, but I can't say what fixed it. I've tried too many fixes to know for sure. I've been maxing out the throughput of my ISP (256k) for 12 hours or so.
