parsing.Error?

I have been getting quite a few parsing.error trying to install various mods (or in some cases components from mods) on BG2EE 2.5. What exactly is a parsing.error? Are they already to the same issue? Something I screwed up somewhere? Or for each mod is it a different culprit?
