Are several high end weapons nerfed in 2.5?

MyragMyrag Member Posts: 328
I recently wanted to finish my old TOB run and noticed that several enemies now give target is immune to the effects of the weapon message.

I noticed this with Ravager +6 and FOA +4. I assume more weapons are like this. I checked ravager and FOA in the NearInfinity and in fact they do have new 'checks' listed.

I've checked patch notes but I haven't found anything at all. This isn't MOD effect as I tested this also on clean installation.

    Well, I think FOA +4 (the one with the poison head) is currently bugged, since creatures with a Poison Resistance >= 100 and Golems/Undead should be immune just to the Poison damage, not to every other effect in the header ---> reported on Redmine

    The effects should be applied according to this order:

    opcode #12 (COLD damage) --> opcode #12 (FIRE damage) --> opcode #12 (ACID damage) --> opcode #40 (SLOW) --> opcode #139 (DISPLAY STRING) --> opcode #324 (STAT RESISTPOISON >= 100) --> opcode #324 (match entries 1 or 27) --> opcode #12 (POISON damage)

    It's the same bug affecting FOA ----> reported on Redmine, thanks

    Its good they know about it, but what will actually be done though? Given their multi-year patch cycle and BG2 2.5 is out, does this mean this issue will remain indefinitely?
