dudleyfix AREAxxxx.bif BG1-vanilla question

Greetings!
Im using GOGs vanilla BG1 Original saga version.
Installed Baldurdash fixpack.
Installed Duddleyville`s dudleyfix.
It says "You are also advised to delete the AREAxxxx.bif files in the cache\data folder otherwise fixes to Areas will not take effect." in the install instruction.
Deleted them from d"ata" folder - without them gogs version asks for cd1 after new game start.
Am i doing smth wrong? Or maybe areas fix just wont work with gog version? Or maybe I dont need to deleete them with gog verion?
