Dorn having issues with pathfinding and dialogue today (BG:EE)

Hello everyone!
I loaded my Steam game just now for the first time in a while, and Dorn is having serious issues. He can barely walk two steps without stopping and turning to face my charname. His pathfinding is completely broken. When I initiate dialogue with him, he "appears busy" and my game gets so stuck on the interaction I can't even save. Booting/re-recruiting him doesn't help. I'm in CH3, and I've done a bit of Dorn's quest already. I didn't have any problems before today.
Is this a known issue? What do I do?
EDIT: I was pointed to this thread:

Which indeed seems to be the issue!
For others with the same problem, here's the solution:
I enabled console commands by adding the line "SetPrivateProfileString('Program Options','Debug Mode','1')" to the .lua file in a different folder, then replacing the original file with this new .lua. Then I used ctrl:space to open the console window and typed C:SetGlobal("kryll_conv","GLOBAL",2). Solved!
