Wine?

Sooo since the OS X version is delayed a while, I was wondering... any way that the PC version would be playable on my mac using Wine? I'm about to finish playing Planescape Torment this way, and I figure BG would probably be similar, right?

I'd recommend pure wine in oppose to crossover as it's free. CXG is just wine with a bit nicer UI for 50$ or so..
EDIT: I've just tested BGEE in WineSkin (Engine WS9 1.5.19), and it works really well. You need to be sure that you use the 'Baldur.exe' file from the 'DATA' folder rather than the 'BGEE.exe' in the main directory to get it to work...from what I can tell. The game plays extremely well. The test machine is a rMBP with both integrated GPU (Intel HD 4000) and a Nvidia 650GT 1GB discrete card.
@Cerevant I cannot get the launcher to work, as you might have noticed with my comment above. However, it hasn't affected gameplay at all. I will likely hold out for the Mac version, as I'm content with the iPad version of BGEE and I am enjoying BG1/BG2 using the Baldur's Gate Trilogy mod.
wine: cannot find L"C:\\windows\\system32\\BGEEInstaller.exe"
as an error
Irritating since I don't have windows, so I'm trying to deal with the launcher - can't point it straight at Baldur.exe
I read that you said we have to download it on a Windows then wrap it with Wineskin but I'm not sure how to do that exactly. I do have access to a Win PC and I downloaded the BGEEInstaller.exe and ran it, should I login with my Beamdog credentials and then go through the process, or should I copy the folder contents now to Mac? What do I do after I copy them, I'm not quite sure how to wrap it with Wineskin.
Thanks!
