Installation
Copy the included file into the override directory of your installed game. This mod is compatible with experience cap removers.


Introduction
In the original Baldur's Gate, mages were arguably underpowered at lower levels. They were able to cast less than a handfull of spells in the early game and thus forced to resort to mostly ranged attacks (at a very poor THAC0 at that). With the introduction of the Sorcerer and Monk in the Enhanced Edition, similar problems have arisen. These classes suffer from significant grind gameplay at lower levels. This mod aims to fix this problem by adjusting some of the experience requirements.


Specifications
-The table for Mages, Sorcerers and Shamans is adjusted up until level 6. The higher levels remain untouched.

-Monks now use the Rogue table until level 8, the Mage table from level 9 to 12/13 and from 13 onward the Cleric table as originally specified. The practical significance in BG1 besides quicker progression is that you are now able to reach level 9 when your fists become +1 magical weapons.

    thank you. I totally agree. Keeping a mage alive long enough to be useful is very tiresome
