Sluggish characters

in Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition
Hi! Does anyone else has encountered that characters seems to be sluggish, kinda like lagging? Everything else on the map works perfectly fine. I've tried to change rendering, sprites etc.in the options menu and nothing helps. After some googling, there was this tip to add opengl line in settings file, didn't help either.
