Offline PC

I have internet on this computer, but it is a Mac and they are bad. I am currently pre-loading the game onto my mac via virtualbox but I would much rather play it on my pc, which is offline and has no way of getting "on-line". Is there anyway to get BGEE working on it?

i believe you should be able to just copy the folder, once it downloads and verifies and whatever else it needs to do over the internet.

however, i'm not 100% sure on this.

Hmm, currently it has to be connected (make sense, as there is missing content) - that's what ESET says Can check later once fully completed in like 2hours~.
Though I guess the online check is kinda the "copy protection" or they use just a generic *dll. In the latter case then offline gaming should be possible.

Just found this on the board:
"There is a very light drm, meaning that after you download the game, the Installer will do one time online verification and after that you can go offline, you will need to go online again only if you want to download updates (naturally), but you dont have to if you dont want to update."

SO offline gaming is possible.

Downloading the data folder is not enough, though you can save the folder and move it to other PC's to save download time/bandwidth.

The game must be activated on each PC which would require a one time Internet connection.

let me clarify:

i believe it was said in the redit AMA that, when the game is released, and can be downloaded in it's entirety, and when it has activated or confirmed or verified or whatever it needs to do via internet to make itself playable, You can then copy the folder of the game to whatever storage device / pc You want, and play the game from there.
