Black Pits 2: What happens if you grass up Marduuk to the Cook?

Marduuk wants you to spike the Cook's food with funguswood, but that's enough to kill him when he eats it. If you read his diary you realise why the cook is so nasty to people...I've always used the funguswood on him, but what happens if you grass Marduuk up to him - are there any good consequences like him helping you in the rebellion? Just curious
