New version of Shadowkeeper

So, when can we expect a new and more powerful version of Shadowkeeper? Personally, I'd like to tinker ever so slightly with NPC stats... /J

    CHEATER :p

Would be nice to have some of the old tools available indeed. I still have the old ones stored, but I doubt they'll work...

@mrSexton Im pretty sure there wont be a new version said the developer but I have also heard the beta testers were using it on the EE to test stuff so I think it will work Ill try it when the game launches and let you know if it works or not.

I'm looking for a better version for BG2. As it is now, it's not possible to change certain things in SK... Common, somewhere there is a nerd just itching to write a new version. :D

@Cuv has some steps to follow that will allow you to use Shadow Keeper with BG:EE.

I cant either I swear I read on here that someone got it to work and were using it alot any chance someone can figure out how to make it work?

It works here. Basically if you follow CamDawg's tutorial in this thread: http://forum.baldursgate.com/discussion/6950/player-how-to-getting-mods-to-work-on-bgee/p1 to link your dialog.tlk and then similarly use mklink /J to link your main game directory with the new save directory location, it should work out.

And how would the command look like in a command window?

I'd like to know how to make it too. Really wish Jaheira were just a druid....
  • DeeDee Member Posts: 10,447
    @Sehaga
    mklink /J 'C:\users\Documents\Baldur's Gate - Enhanced Edition\characters'
    mklink /J 'C:\users\Documents\Baldur's Gate - Enhanced Edition\save'
    mklink /J 'C:\users\Documents\Baldur's Gate - Enhanced Edition\bpsave'
    mklink /J 'C:\users\Documents\Baldur's Gate - Enhanced Edition\mpsave'

Substituting the bit in the quotes for whatever your actual file path may be (but include the quotes).

Nevermind, I found simply moving the save folder temporeraly to the game directory worked. Changed Jaheira to the druid she always should have been and then moved the save folder back, so far so good.

    Shadowkeeper works with BGEE. Woooo!

Wait, all you have to do is transfer the save folder to the 00766 and that's it?

@cbarchuk, yes and no. After you alter a save file, you have to move it back to the C:/User/Documents/Baldur's Gate:EE folder.

EDIT: oh, and you also need to copy the .exe and the dialog.tlk file into the game folder, because SK looks for those before it will let you get started.

There's not even a Keeper for IWD2. And I don't think anyone in the community has the ability or inclination to update SK for BGEE, let alone BG2.

I so need to download this when I get home. I want Imoen the Bard rather than Mage :)

Do you still have to do the other things like copying the baldur.ini, characters, and saves folders into the game folder itself?

Sure there is, it's called Dale Keeper 2.

I would think a new version of the infinity engine savegame editor would be better.
