Weapon Profieciencies with IR

Which weapon proficiencies would you recommend for multi fighter/mage with Item Revisions. I can´t still decide. One possibility are Long Swords. There are plenty of them in both games and in BGII/TOB there are three of them which have enchatment of level + 4.
The second choice is Staff. Even when Staff of Magi si nerfed with Item Revisions in some respects, it is still great weapon.
Two Handed Swords are also decent choice, but I usually give them to Sarevok.
