game crashing my computer...

Well, I donwloaded the game finally. But when I press the Play button it crashes my computer--repeatedly. I've downloaded the game both via the client and the game's icon on the desktop (the standalone launcher?). Launcher version in the Beamdog folder is 1.9.4.0 if that helps. OS is Windows 7. I have a NVIDIA graphics card. Native resolution of desktop is currently 1680x1050.

Any ideas?
