white screen

first time i started the game all was okay. then i figured i had some custom portraits i wanted to add to the game, so i exited the game.

when i went back into the game everything had disappeared and i now only have a white screen, go out and in with alt tab replaces the white with black

so now i cant play!

anyone know how to solve this?

    try to hit alt+enter and close the game. Open it again and see if it works fine. Then you can alt+enter back to fullscreen mode.

    I have a similar issue but never got to the custom portrait screen. My game loads on a white screen with a black frame. I have a working cursor, can click on invisible buttons, and I can hear the music, but that is all. Alt + Enter does nothing.

    Okay. Fixed it. I opened the Intel and Media Control Panel, clicked 3D, Custom Settings, and changed Anisotropic Filtering to 8x, Vertex Processing to Enable Software Processing, and Vertical Sync to On!

    i tried that as well but doesnt work for me

    also re-installed the game which didnt help
