Multiplayer not accepting passwords or player limits.

So I tried making a LAN game, twice, with 2 different people on 2 different machines. I set player limit to 2, set some passwords, changed the game name.
Neither one of the other players saw the game name change, or had to type in a password, worst of all Random people keep joining and trolling us. I don't even know how to remove them from the game since it keeps defaulting it to 'one party' even when the option isnt selected.
tl:dr, the multiplayer setup options are doing nothing! no passwords, no player limits, no name change and random people keep ruining our games!
