Clicking play and nothing happen!!

i downloaded the last bit and am clicking play and nothing is happening!?? is there something else i need to do? is this happening to anyone else? help please!!

    Have you guys tried launching the game directly from the .exe file?

    Yep. It still doesn't play for me.

    I was having a problem where after character creation my game would crash. I used the standalone installer for downloading, so what I did was I moved the Baldurs Gate Enhanced Edition folder from C:/Program Files (x86) to C:/ and now it works. Not sure if that will help your problem. It may not.

    If you downloaded it with Beamdog go to "my games" then right click and when the menu pops up click on "Open Game Location" and open the folder then click on the Baldur application. At least that's what I did.

    This is rediculous! I finally download the game, get the updates and press Play and NOTHING HAPPENS! The news window vanishes and after waiting for more than 1 minute nothing appears. Tried it on Windows 7 and Windows XP and the game will not do anything.

    WTF?

    Open the launcher, right click on the game, make a copy to the deskop, right click the icon on the deskop and run as admin

    Still doesn't work. Fun fact though: When I right click on the shortcut I get the option to "Run with Japanese locale as Administrator", first time I've ever gotten that when I right clicked on anything.

    Finally got it to work by loading the baulder.exe (not the game launcher itself) file using WIndows Vista (Service Pack 1) compatibilty mode.
