Graphics bugs-- no circles beneath characters, flickering menu screens

The game seems to be working fine, but I am having a couple of somewhat irritating issues. There are no circles under the characters, and no square box shows up when I try to drag and select a group, which makes it hard to see what I'm selecting.

Further, when I first open the game the initial menu screen is flickering and distorted, although proceeding through one menu and then pressing "back" seems to fix it.

Neither of these issues are critical, but they are irritating and I would like to fix them.

I am running a NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M on Windows 7.

Same problem with the menu and in-game UI also. It won´t go away unless I switch to windowed mode.

    EDIT
Ok, the flickering vanished after I turned off vertical synchronization and triple buffering in AMD Control Center.

My menus are the same. I just turned off VSYNC and that fixed it

i fixed all the issues described thanks to thantalas' post at the Known Hardware/Driver Issues-Thread. you have to make sure you are running the baldur.exe (Folder: BG Enhanced->Data->00766) with your geforce card and not with intel graphics. just right click, search for the graphic card settings and choose the nvidia card. or (better) open your graphic card menu and set it to constantly use the graphic card with baldur.exe
