Hi, I'm experiencing stuttering videos in BG:EE, does anyone else have the same problem? Both video and audio stutters, kind of infrequently and randomly.

Thanks

same problem here, just running it on a windows 7 laptop. Game runs fine, walking speed is a tad slow, but the movies stutter both audio and video just like Thanes

Windows 7-64bit, Intel i5 2500k, Geforce 560ti, 8gb ram that summers the most important things. The whole game seems to be running just fine.

Have you guys checked how the videos run for you outside BGEE?

You can see them by going to:

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition\Data\00766\movies

This is the path for Win7 at least.

Videos run just fine outside the game. Maybe it's because I lack some codec packs? I use VLC player normally, so it has its own, that'll explain why it runs smoothly outside BG:EE

I imagine that codec packs only matter for media players and shouldn't be an issue with BGEE.

This way we know that the problem is with BGEE.

Same here, VLC plays them fine. Tried all the NVidia settings, none improved the video in game

Same problem here. VLC plays fine. I use K-Lite codec pack, and Windows Media Player also plays them fine. The game runs at full speed, but the videos are choppy in-game.

I get stuttering/clicking audio on the cinematics. They run fine outside the game.

Okay, just started it up again, and now the video is stuttering. It seems to be getting worse everytime. Also noticed that when I go to the movies folder in the directory, the opening movie is not there, even though it plays in game. Is that normal?

If on Windows 7, try to set compatibility for "baldur.exe" to Win98/Me. File is located in main game folder. This reduces stuttering of intro video a bit.

It is called introduction and it is on bottom of the list.
