CEP and nwsync from other servers.

If someone uses nwsync to get into a CEP server, will that same sync be good to get into other PWs using the same CEP, or will players have to sync again for a separate server using the same exact haks.

I'm asking because nwsync has been a challenge for me, but I saw a server hosting only the base CEP mod using nwsync. So, I was wondering if a player connects and syncs from there, can they join any CEP server without getting the "missing haks" message?

    If your server uses nwsync, and someone downloads CEP from another nwsync source, they can join your server. But if your server uses haks, they won't be able to. However, since the CEP nwsync preload server already exists (I host it), you can just point yourself to it instead - Assuming you only use CEP haks.

    To do this, all you need to do is add these two parameters to your nwserver commandline:

      -nwsyncurl 'http://anphillia.pw/nwsync/'   -nwsynchash '8cb563e9d0ea4f1de184ddc56392550f14108439' 

    I will host this for the forseeable future, but it might need to go away at some point, so let me know if you're using this so I can notify you in time.

    I just host on an extra PC using the nwnserver.exe that comes with the game. Server stuff makes my brain hurt, but thanks.  :)

    I gave it a shot. I'm receiving this error when I try a test sync:

    NWsync: ?

    Cannot download, we only support http:// for now. This is likely a server-side repository issue. Please contact them for help.

    Current transfer:
    Receiving: ?

    Sorry, I've no idea. The nwsync is hosted on HTTP, and the link I pasted above is also HTTP. I'd guess that somehow windows makes it into https, possibly based on some system settings?

    Maybe someone who uses windows will know.

    Remove the single quotes and it should work.

    -nwsyncurl http://anphillia.pw/nwsync/ -nwsynchash 8cb563e9d0ea4f1de184ddc56392550f14108439

    I'm using this too..I had my files in /var/www/html/gamefiles and just cant get them read but yours work.

    Is this still up and running, and does it use CEP 2.71?
