V-sync?

I don't really mind that you guys included a whole graphics-menu for one option, but the exclusion of v-sync is really annoying in my opinion. Is it really necessary for me to download AMD Control Center (or whater it is called nowadays) to enable it? Kind of a small bummer. Otherwise... Extremely stoked to play further!

Yea it is pretty disgusting that there's only one graphic option. The game however is capped at 30fps so you wouldn't need to enable Vsync. It'd be nice if someone could tell us how to manually change some graphics options.

Don't you get the screen tearing up then? I do get that unfortunately. One of the reasons I couldn't stand playing games like The Witcher.

You wouldn't get screen tearing unless your Refresh rate was less than 30hz which I don't believe is possible. Tearing occurs when your frame rate is out of sync/ greater than your refresh rate, so since the game is capped at 30fps and your monitor should be using at least 60hz refresh rate tearing won't occur. You are probably just seeing some choppiness from the lower framerate, I'm sure eventually somebody is going to tell us how to do graphics hacks.

The graphic options screen is missing some buttons, this is a known bug.

I'm not exactly sure what the status regarding VSync is, but for the 4 months I've been playing the beta, I haven't seen a single tearing artifact. And if I'd seen one I'd have reported it long ago.

So if you're actually seeing tearing artifacts, give us your specs and whether that happens in full-screen or windowed mode or both.

Full. It is only really noticable when you scroll with the mouse. It just reminds me of tearing and Baldur's Gate from GoG never did that. I am using a AMD Radeon 6950 with 2 gigabyte and the latest official drivers. My processor is a Phenom 4 XII if I remember correctly and I have 4 gigabyte worth of RAM. But I think only my videocard really matters here. Windows 8 Pro by the way. It doesn't happen in windowed mode (as usual).

You can adjust some settings in the Baldur.ini file in your my documents/Baldur's Gate - Enhanced Edition/ folder.

A quick install of that AMD Vision-thingy fixed it. (Forcing v-sync.)
