Stand alone client hangs at "Connecting" at the end of the download

Hello,

I'm having an issue with the stand alone client. Per the thread title, it downloads fine to 1.8 GB, then hangs on "connecting" and will not progress to a completed or playable state.

Restarting the client displays 1.8GB/1.8GB and a full red download progress bar - it then downloads for a little bit at a 50-100kbps speed, then hangs on "connecting" again. I've tried both P2P on and off with the same result. Pausing the download by clicking on the progress bar causes the same result as restarting the client: a brief period of downloading followed by "connecting".

I've been trying for almost 4 hours. support@beamdog has not responded to my e-mail.

Does anyone have any advice?

    For me, actually turning off "Enable turbo" in settings helped a bit. It downloads slowly, but it doesn't crash as often as it could. Still, downloading 100mb in 4 hours.... Failure, Overhaul, is failure.

    Could have been better implemented.. my issue is that the download actually seems to be done, it just won't go to the next part where I can play for whatever reason..
