Visual Glitch: Black Screen in Game

I loaded up the game no problems. I created a sweet character. No problem. But then I load the game and the main window for play is blacked out and half the buttons on the side are missing. As well the dialog box at the bottom is gone replaced by a small selection of the normal isometric map. Entering the inventory or any of the normal menus seems to work fine. Does anyone have a fix for this? I'm running Vista with a Radeon 4800 Series Card.

Edit: It appears after clicking around that the game is imputing my curser south of where I click by a significant margin.
