Import characters from classic version

Hi there,

Years ago I've played many times in old Icewind Dale. And now I'd like to import those charecters into new Icewind Dale Enhanced Edition. I put the exported characters into C:\Users\Anton\Documents\Icewind Dale - Enhanced Edition\characters. The game sees imported files but it get the crash when I'm clicking button.




Please help, is there any way import old characters?

The Enhanced Edition uses a very different version of the Infinity Engine to the original, so characters are completely incompatible between the games.

Best solution in my opinion is to recreate all the characters in the EE using EE-Keeper.
