Seamless playthrough/improved BG1?

Does EE support a seamless playthrough? That is, can I play BG1 through to the end of BG2 (or ToB) as one mega game similar to some older mods from back in pre-EE times - like the Baldurs Gate Trilogy mod? Are the things present in Tutu available in EE or is there a mod similar to Tutu for EE?

Is this natively supported or is there an EE mod that works for the games? Thanks ahead of time
