MINER IN DAVAEORN MINE

in Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition
There is a miner in davaeorn mine that asks you to put him out of his misery because he feels very sick. I'm wondering, does anyone know if casting a restoration spell would work on him, giving you new dialogues?

    It's worth a try. I tried casting Cure Disease and various Cure spells on him in my playthrough, but none of them triggered any difference in his dialogue. (An oversight, in my opinion.)
