Screen Flickering. Game is unplayable.

I put this in the bugs section as well, but I figured I'd mention it here too.

The screen constantly flickers from black to what it should be. I'll alt-tab out a few times then try again, which occasionally fixes the issue temporarily. As soon as I try to go into a new menu, the flicker returns.

It's unplayable for me like this. Obviously I'm distraught. Anyone know how to fix this?

Try switching to windowed mode - then back to Fullscreen. It worked for me.

use nvidia control panel and force triple buffering and vsync off on the .exe under C:\Program Files (x86)\Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition\Data\00766 not the one that says BGEE.exe but the one that's baldur.exe

said this in a thread i started. totally fixes this exact issue

I only have the Intel card... but I pressed Alt + Enter to go to windowed mode, and Alt+Enter again to go back to full screen and the problem stopped. I had to do this every time I alt-tabbed.

I'm using Windows 7 on an ASUS laptop. trying to get zoom to cooperate with my touch pad...

@kothe: There it was. Thanks, boss.

I had to go into my NVIDIA control panel (so, basically, if you have this problem, go into your video card's control panel, whatever that might be) and force stop V-Sync and Triple Buffering. Runs just fine now.

cool! Time to save the Sword Coast.

Ah, no, sorry, my bad! It's just a little late and I did it on BGEE.exe instead of baldur.exe, and I also misread the post and forced the vsync and triple buffer on... :D So, yeah, this fixes it, it works, thanks guys!
