Game moves so SLOOOOOW!

I have an up to date computer, plays SWTOR like a charm, but this game seems to crawl like a slime on granite. (Really sloooow). Anyone else having the same problem??

Capped at 30 fps. Until Overhaul tells us how this can be increased, gotta deal with it.

Dunno why they didn't just change the default to 60, which is what everyone played on normally anyways.

Go to C:\Users\YOURNAME\Documents\Baldur's Gate - Enhanced Edition
Look for the text file called Baldur, open with notepad and look for fps and change it.

Be warned that the game is meant to be played at 30fps, you can try 40 to speed up the game abit.

Baldurs Gate never was @60,it was @30 always.

Changing the 'Maximum Frame Rate' value in baldur.ini has no effect, as I've stated in other threads this isn't your typical .ini file and there must be a way to put these changes into effect or make the change elsewhere.

Original BG had standard cap of 30fps but you could increase it all the way to 60fps, which was a little too fast. 50 fps seemed to be the sweet spot.

Hmmm actually, turning off footstep sounds in baldur.ini worked. Just doesn't work adjusting frame rate. No matter what the value, always stuck on 30.

So turning off footstep sounds affected the lag frame?

No lol...I was under the impression that changes to baldur.ini didn't have any actual effect in game, but they do...except for adjusting frame rate. I wonder if they locked it or something.

    Any info on this?

I've played on 30 FPS for a few hours. Makes me really sleepy.
