bgee crashes on start up

I've downloaded twice now, both times when i try to start up has an error. Anyone else experiencing this? and ideas?

    Yeah, I have. I haven't been able to find a fix yet.

    Yes, same problem for some of my friends. Tried .ini mods - no luck. I found out too late it wont work with Intel graphics chips. I am hoping for some fix, but i may have wasted money. And then, theres Windows 8 not officially supported. I'd have to buy a sep. machine to run this right now, or virtualize.

    Is it the launcher crashing, or the game after the launcher has downloaded 2Gb of files?
