Mage/Thief Multiclass receives incorrect lore

Playing a gnome illusionist/thief. Levelled up to 2 mage 3 Thief. Should have recieved 3 lore from the mage level and 3 lore from the thief level, for 6 lore total, but only received 3 lore.

I think that behavior is correct. In general when playing a multi-class character, the attributes for the character take the best from each of the classes - applies to THAC0, saving throws, constitution bonus, proficiencies etc. I think lore is treated in the same way. Hence, each time you level up the game looks at what your lore would be for each of the classes separately and the highest of those is taken. In the case of levelling up to illusionist 2 thief 3, the game looks at the scores and takes the score for a third level thief - that's 3 above the score for a second level thief, so that's the increase shown on the level up (irrespective of the fact you levelled up the illusionist class at the same time).

Actually it was only recently changed
