So you have blurry text? Here is the fix for NEWER NVIDIA cards (Windows):
- go into your NVIDIA control panel (if you do not have the green icon in your taskbar icons, search your programs for the NVIDIA folder, should be there)
- Manage settings (mine says 3D settings, right above Physx Config) on left side menu bar
- Global settings are selected by default, click the tab for program settings
- Under select program to optimize, click the "add" button
- you want to find "BALDUR.EXE" which is in the baldues gate ee/data/7066 file)
- add that file
- TURN OFF VSYNC, TRIPLE BUFFERING, and ANTIALIASING FXAA
that should work for the text. I will update if i find any more issues.

Color circles for party members is set by the major color of their clothes.
Though, if you want the old green circles back for your party members, go to your .ini file (open it with something better than Notepad) and add this line:
'Game Options', 'Color Circles', '0',
I stickied this discussion to give it more visibility.
I am in complete agreement here. Just as a lark, I took screen shots from this "enhanced" version and the older Tutu version and had a friend try to tell me which was the new one. She thought the Tutu version was the new one. What does that say about this "enhanced" version??? I am unimpressed.
Not to cause offense, but, maybe she couldn't tell the difference because Tutu and BG:EE use the same engine? Of course they would be similar.
Did you think BG:EE would look like Dragon Age instead?
No offense taken. However, you seem to have missed my point. First, my friend is a fan of BG1 (and RPGs in general) and was considering the purchase of BG:EE. She is a hardcore gamer and knows what she likes. Second, the comparison was not, "These are so alike can you tell the difference?" It was, "Look at these two pictures and tell me which you think looks better." The Tutu interface looks crisper and cleaner than the EE version. She was as disappointed as I to see that Tutu looked better. If you saw them, I believe you would understand. I did not fiddle with any settings. Both are immediately outside the Inn at the start of the game and both at 1280x720 resolution. I was startled at the difference and how much better Tutu actually looked. Why should a "high res" interface look blurrier? IMO, it should not; it should look clean.

Perhaps the potential is there, but it does not appear that it will be relatively soon. It seems they have their hands full correcting the numerous current bugs to be concerned about "crushing" Tutu.
Tried in Windowed Mode - at a small screen the GUI is quite sharp. But Fullscreen 1920 x 1080 it is just UGLY to look at.
Very disappointet at the moment. We have 2012 - There is also 1080P Available and not only 1280 x 720 and other midscreen resolutions!
Btw. There is quite an awesome german Baldur's Gate Forum around... And so far nearly all the review threads there have been in a negative way. That should be a warning sign!
Don"t get me wrong... I wanted this to be my ultimate BG1 experience but so far it is I must say disaster...
I hope they will fix resolution and bugs they introduced. If not, well there is one customer less for their next project...
I just hope that Bg1 and 2 modding community will continue to support original product and will not switch to this one if it is not fixed.
