Getting Download Info

I've been looking at this for 6 HOURS.

I Pre-loaded a couple days ago, and now I'm sitting staring at this mindless mess. Any idea why? It's pissing me off.

    I have the same problem (stuck at "Getting download info", tried both Beamdog and Stand alone installer, haven't preloaded).

    I partially preloaded with the standalone installer, and I'm getting this too.

    Ok, I got it to work by using a proxy.
    It seems both installers use torrent protocols to tell the client what to download (yes, even when p2p is deactivated) which are often blocked (work, schools, most college dormitories etc.). As long as they don't release another way to download it the only way (that I know of) to get BG:EE is to circumvent those filters...

    But since it seems you two could preload you may have a different problem (if you didn't change locations since then).

    ...while torrents work just fine on my home network, connecting to my university's proxy (which likes torrents less, generally?) does seem to have restarted my stagnated "getting download info" download.

    I got it working, just took an odd fiddling. I don't remember exactly what I did.

    I had to uninstall and re-download. It works fine now though.
