Companion missing

I seemed to have run into trouble/bug. When my ranger hit lvl 6 I selected a companion and placed the wolfs head icon on my quickslot bar at the bottom. Today at almost lvl 7 I went to use him and their is no icon on my bar nor can i find it on the radial menu. Any ideas on what happen and how to fix it? Never mind i did a verify files and now it is back
