Jaheira romance is stuck at a point

It's not moving along, seems to be stuck at a point. I speak to her and all I get is the same dialogue, this is a real problem now that I'm in the Drow city and after Phaere it creates a dialogue loop

Are you playing vanilla or ee? I remember her romance being bugged in vanilla that it couldn't be completed.

I'm also having Jaheira romance problems in the EE. I didn't have these problem with the vanilla version of the game, though Jaheira's romance was known to be buggy and take forever to complete as well. Would be nice if someone beamed down from Beamdog to talk about how we can fix these and carry on.

Yeah that this stage, this save game of mine is unplayable. Not real keen on starting again at the moment

if you want i can take a look at it for you and see what i can do, although it doesn't loook like you have the full save folder, it seems that you are missing the portraits and save spot portrait

can you re upload that save file?

If you can look at it that would be great, shouldn't need the portraits though to bring up the save game. But I'll add them in

okay, i have found the solution to your problem

first, it seems like you have at least one mod installed because when i opened up EE keeper, there was a spell it could not find on your character ( i have a clean install, and if you have a clean install as well, then that is weird )

*do note that mods cause 99% of game bugs, so sometimes you need to do a clean install and install mods one by one and see if they either; cause issues, or caused issues because they didn't install properly, this is just a future note

second, jaheira has a very strange romance, and you kind of gimped it up without "starting" properly, and looks like you may have entered some whacky commands to continue it along? because it was buggy out pretty good

but no worries, i was able to fix it on my end, and complete it so here is what you need to do:

if you haven't already, you MUST enable the cheat console

the first you are going to put in there is:

C:SetGlobal("JaheiraBanditPlot","GLOBAL",9)

this is going to stop a bug when dermin shows up for the third time

next, you will continue to play your play through as normal, when you get to the phaere part, you tell her that you cant sleep with her because there is someone else, and that someone else is not jaheira but someone she doesnt know ( phaere will think its someone from the "drow city" you're from and everything will continue as normal )

jaheira will not "continue" the romance until you get into chapter 6, in fact i would almost insist on killing bodhi first before continuing it on ( because you are basically going to be using cheats at this point in time to continue it on ) also the reason why i say this is because if bodhi takes jaheira away, jaheira is going to lose some major XP, but its up to you, and for all i know maybe bodhi will, but your romance is still super early, so who knows, anyway continuing on

so somewhere in chapter 6 you have to actually "start" the romance by doing the harper quest ( the one with xzar ) accept his offer, go to rylock blah blah blah, grab the bird from the cage ( this will eventually make sense ) bring it back to xzar and that quest complete

now, at this point meronia should appear and take jaheira away, if she does not then you will need to type in some more codes to get it going:

C:SetGlobal("LyrosJob","GLOBAL",3)
C:SetGlobal("JaheiraBanditPlot","GLOBAL",9)
C:SetGlobal("JaheiraHarperPlot","GLOBAL",0)

type in these codes one at a time (copy paste ) until she appears

*make sure you are outside ( so basically you want to do this immediately after xzar quest )

she will leave

rest

she will come back

now go to the harper hold, and do your business there and make sure to not make jaheira "hostile" or else she leaves forever

now at this point, jaheira should be able to continue her love talks, but each love talk takes 1 hour real time to get to, so to speed things up, use the cheat:

C:AdvanceRealTime(60000);

this will get her love talks going

once she hits the right amount of love talks reviance will appear in two game days

so if jaheira isnt advancing the love talk scenario you might need to rest to get them going ( make sure to stay outside in these scenarios )

although for me, i think i was forcing love talks so much that reviane showed up without waiting for 2 days

so either one might happen


anyway, continue on with the reviane encounter, and keep advancing love talks with the cheat above and then either; dermin will start showing up, or you will have to by pass 3-5 game days for him to show ( if you need to, rest spam i suppose )

eventually dermin will show up, and things will continue on

continue to force love talks with the advance real time cheat, and if sometimes jaheira doesnt advance dialogue you may have to rest successfully instead for it to advance on

eventually dermin will appear a second time, and then jaheira will leave after you rest successfully, then you have to go get her back bleh bleh blah

then continue to advance real time and rest and eventually dermin shows up a third time, do your business

and then continue to advance real time and rest and all that jazz, and then eventually elminster will appear, give you the pin and at this point you should have slept with jaheira which i believe is the last love talk for SoA and you should be good to go

sarevok, help again.......ok so everything worked up until Dermin's second appearance stating the Harpers will attack her etc and Jaheira is having to think about going back to Harper's Hold. So, rested for several days waiting for her to continue this on and nothing is happening.

Even wandered down to the Watchers Keep and back to Athkatla again

so with your save game, i didn't really do much, and it continued on, first i punched in this cheat:

C:AdvanceRealTime("30000")

i pumped in 3 of those

then i just rested in the docks area ( where you team is now ) and it continued on as normal

have you tried resting in the docks area yet?

also, are you using some sort of mods? for some reason your druid is using a short bow, and somehow has 3 proficiencies in longbow, is wearing armor it cannot normally wear, and minsc is not wearing any armor as well

the only mods I'm using at the moment are song and silence, kitpack 6, spstuff, unfinished business and Ease.

I have Minsc wearing armour, Geirthan's Plate, which I think only appears with unfinished business? and yeah my Druid has a kit called an Archer of Sylvanus

At this stage I really only use mods for different class kits, just to expand the options and extra NPC's to have in the party (which I haven't installed this time around)
