After hitting ESC (twice I think, the first time it looks like it does nothing) instead of backing out normally, it backs all the way to the game and the user interface is messed up.
When in the Assign-Keys menu Pressing Escape will play a sound effect but not return to the Gameplay menu. Pressing Escape a second time will close the Assign-Keys menu but results in a weird hybrid between the assign-keys menu and actual game display. Like so: http://i.imgur.com/8GqQ3.jpg
Pressing Escape a third time or more will do nothing. The remaining edge of the Assign-Keys menu is still functional. Pressing done will resume the game as though the menu was properly closed.
Excepted Behavior: Pressing escape in the Assign-Keys menu will return to the Gameplay menu.
kind of a weird bug, hard to explain without pictures.
Current behavior: "Assign keys" interace replaces regular UI, the assign keys interface is interactive, center of screen (game area) is normal. Expected behavior: Regular UI should be displayed and interactive. steps to reproduce: hit O for options click gameplay click assign keys hit escape, a sound plays hit escape again
"workaround": the assign keys interface is interactive even when its bugged out, click "done" to remove it.
not sure if this is just me, couldnt find any other bug reports on it

It's an old issue, and it's still occuring in 2012 build. I thought that developers forgot about it.
