I'm the multiplayer character and I died. How do I revive? (BGEE)

in New Players (NO SPOILERS!)
Basically the title. I died on the first bear I saw. (didn't realize i was low health) I am now in spectator mode for 15 minutes+ while my friend plays the game. I have never played baldur's gate before but am familiar with other games and D&D in general.

    Your friend will need to take you to a temple and pay to have you raised from the dead, usually around 600 gold to the best of my memory. Or you could make a new character and import them into the game.

    actually in the early stages of the game it only seems to cost 100 gold
